I am proud to be sponsored by Church Tackle since January 2009.  Church Tackle makes the finest planer boards and trolling accessories in the fishing industry.  Made in Michigan,  Church Tackle are the planer boards that I use on a daily basis, and The Walleye Board were the planer boards that helped Ryan Sagady and I win 2007 Michigan Walleye Tour Team of the Year.  I especially like their three sizes of boards that allows me to match my tackle and the size of the fish I am catching to the board.  The next time you purchase planer boards, clip weights, inline trolling weights, or any other trolling accessory give Church Tackle a try, you will not be disappointed.  Find them at your local tackle shop or buy online by visiting their website.  Click here to see all of the fine Church Tackle products on their website.

30110 THE WALLEYE BOARD - PORT.jpg

The Walleye Board has a lightweight clip made of glass filled, super tough nylon, making it flexible, and is coated with a plastic material.  The Adjustable Flex Clip holds the ultra thin braids, lead core and monofilament lines and can be adjusted to different tensions.  A spring loaded retaining pin holding the line in a groove at the rear of the board is assurance that your board cannot come off.  Just pull the pin with one hand when removing the board.  Anglers may set the Adjustable Flex Clip light enough so that strikes pull the line free; the rear pin holds the board on the line as it slides back to a swivel tied two feet in front of the lure.  The Walleye Board is 10" long, 3.5" wide with an adjustable keel weight that keeps the nose of the board tracking in the water even when using deep-diving plugs or heavy weights.  The catamaran shape minimizes diving and flying when trolling upwind or hitting a large wave at higher speeds.  The bright fluorescent red color makes it easy to see.  Made in the USA of non-corrosive materials suitable for saltwater use.

K-1 BROCHURE2.jpg

The K-1 Inline Bead Weight is a uniquely designed trolling weight with a slight bend in it.  This weight has a subtle side to side wobble that will help put more fish in your boat.  The K-1 weight is a must have for any serious troller!

30500 TX-12 - PORT.jpg

The TX-12 Mini Planer Board has many of the same features as The Walleye Board but is smaller and weighs 4.5 ounces and is 7.5" long by 3" wide so you can use lighter tackle.  This is a great planer board for Houghton Lake walleye, and it is also working very well on Saginaw Bay for the 17" walleyes that are everywhere.  These planer boards work very well with the K-1 5/8 ounce weights for fishing in waters up to 20 feet deep.  The TX-12 Mini Planer Board has the Adjustable Flex Clip and the spring loaded retaining pin at the rear of the board just like The Walleye Board.  The TX-12 has an airfoil design that helps lift it over waves.

30502 TX-6 MAGNUM - STARBOARD.jpg

The TX-6 Magnum Mini Planer Board weighs in at only 2.5 ounces and is only 5.25" long and 2.25" wide.  Don't let the size fool you, it will still take your lure out where you want it.  You can use lighter tackle with the TX-6 than you can with the TX-12 or The Walleye Board.  The TX-6 has many of the same features as the larger boards such as the Adjustable Flex Clip and the spring loaded retaining pin at the rear of the board.  The TX-6 is made of foam filled plastic to give your board flotation.  The TX-6 also is the familiar bright fluorescent red that makes it easy to see.
